The vendor will only collect data from users, if that data is neccessary to offer the services under the terms in this agreement and if it's legal to collect that data, or if the vendor is obliged by law to collect that data.
The vendor will treat the user's personal information confidentially according to the provisions of the applicable data protection laws, and not disclose it to third parties.
Above this, the provider uses the personal data of the user only if the latter has expressly consented. The user's consent can be revoked at any time.
The following statement gives the user an overview of how the provider ensures the protection and what type of data is collected and for what purpose:
2. Email address
When registering, the user has to give his email address. This email address is used for the "password reset" functionality, because there is no other way to recover from a lost password which would leave the user's account inaccessible.
Furthermore, the vendor will use the user's email address to inform the user about new features of the platform or amendments in licensing terms.
Users can object to that use by sending an email to info@AmboCarta.com, stating their login (NOT the password!) and their objection.

b. Affiliates
For affiliates, a commercial use is generally assumed.
Affiliates need to enter their personal data as soon as they set their payout preferences.
c. Besucher
For visitors, a non-commercial use is generally assumed.
For an exact display and billing of VAT, the country at the time of use is requested from the visitor.
Text and images
Text entered and images uploaded by counselors in their "about myself" page will be used by the vendor to display information about the counselor publicly in the catalog and search engine feature and anywhere information about the counselor is displayed.

a. Browser data
All web browsers provide several pieces of information to each web site server for technical reasons. Due to the fact that that data is adjustable by a user, the vendor uses that data to adjust his portal to the preferences of the user, for example setting the preferred language of the user.
In server log files, the vendor automatically stores data which is sent by the user's browser. Namely: browser type and version, operating system, flash version, referrer URL, and an abbreviated (crippled) version of the user's ip address, as well as the timestamp of the request.
These pieces of information are not related to a specific person, after a statistic analysis, these pieces of data are deleted when older than 12 weeks.

The consent to receive these emails is compelling part of this contract.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion tracking
AmboCarta uses the online ad program "Google AdWords" and with it "Google conversion tracking". Google uses a cookie to measure advertising performance for AmboCarta and its AdSense partners websites. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad delivered by Google where AmboCarta has opted-in to tracking. These cookies expire within 30 days and are not personally-identifiable. If this cookie has not yet expired when the user visits certain pages of AmboCarta's website, Google and AmboCarta will be able to tell that the user clicked the ad and proceeded to that page. Each advertiser gets a different cookie, so no cookie can be tracked across advertiser websites. Google cookies may be processed on servers outside germany.
How Google use the conversion cookie information
Google uses the information collected by the conversion cookie to provide aggregate conversion stats to AmboCarta. AmboCarta is able to see the total number of users who have clicked on their ad and proceeded to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag, but AmboCarta does not have access to personally identifying information.
How to opt out of the conversion cookie
If you want to disable conversion tracking cookies, you can set your browser to block cookies from the "googleadservices.com" domain.
Ads on AmboCarta by Google, third-party vendors and other ad networks

Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the advertising opt-out page (Click here). Additionally, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page. (Click here)
